Sleeping Single in a Double Bed.

It's haying season and our tractor only plays cassette tapes.

Unfortunately, J and I both the world stopped buying cassette tapes and made the switch to cds about, I dunno ten years ago?

Needless to say our cassette tape collection is non-existent. There is one cassette tape around these parts and it lives in the baler's tape deck. It's been in the baler's tape deck for a very long time. A very long time.

You might be wondering how I know this and what the name is of the lone cassette tape?

Well, I know this because J comes in every night singing and whistling the same tune from said cassette tape. It is pretty catchy, I'll give him that, but still quite annoying.

Take it away Barbara....

He's going to soon find himself sleeping single in the guest room.

I'm looking forward to whenever it is that haying season ends!

Had I known this in October I could have sent you like 20 mixtapes made by my high school and college self! Collin made me clean out my drawers and I just threw them all away.

I may or may not have access to a Young MC tape and Cindy Lauper :)

@CWL - Totally Bummer!!

@ Tara - you send the Cindy Lauper and I foresee a great prank being played on J!

I still have a few cassettes. I am one of rare people who have not switched to CDS. I have this beautiful replica radio that plays cassettes.

I have lots of blues, classical, Dylan, Croce, Joplin, Nelson and even some Irish Drinking Songs.

If you're brave enough to post your mailing address, I would be glad to share!

We have a ton of cassette tapes out in the garage. Mostly classic rock stuff from the 70s-80s. They are a bit dirty from the cats sleeping on them, but you are welcome to them. :)

I think we only have a few cassette tapes left. Thank goodness....

It's still sitting in my high school/college car in my parents' driveway. I also think there is a freshman college mix tape (think Ludacris, etc). We'll be home in October and I'll fix you up :)

Too funny.. that song is in my head now, along with a few others that was on that cassette! You just can't go wrong with Barbara Mandrell though... i mean- she was country- when country wasn't cool. :) great.. how long will this be in my head?
